About the Quotebook
My friend Mandy almost always carries a quotebook. Often it's just a regular notepad—mini-size, spiral-bound. The kind that can slip into a pocket.
Sometimes it's something a little fancier.
They're full of snippets—of wisdom, of hilarity, of insanity. Once I was away for a few weeks and when I got back Mandy tossed me a quotebook, saying "this is what happened while you were gone." Reading one is like walking down a busy street and hearing a line or two of conversation from everyone you pass.
Now whenever I hear something that's witty or funny or unusual, I hear Mandy in my head yelling, "Write that down!"
